THE MINI VACATION

Here is something I learned this semester: mini vacations are awesome. 

In February I went on a spur of the moment weekend trip to Seattle with my parents so that I could intern for Blogshop. We stayed in a hotel right downtown and I was surprised to discover how much I enjoyed just getting away from everything for a few days.

This month, I went to Victoria to visit Lisa. It was so lovely to spend time with a friend baking scones, shopping downtown, and going to girly movies.

I'm a cheap person, so spending money on extra gas or accommodations always feels daunting, but it's worth it! Bite the bullet, make some plans, and get away for a couple of nights. I dare you.
