Dog Mountain I

I've heard a lot about Dog Mountain on Mt. Seymour from Michelle. It's a magical combination of close proximity to the city, manageable 5km trail, and spectacular views of both the city and costal mountains from the top. I've been eager to check it out for myself.

Turns out we picked a less than ideal day to attempt this hike. Seymour was engulfed in misty clouds which, as you can tell, made for a super damp and moody trek through the woods.

At the summit we found more thick cloud so we couldn't see any sort of view in either direction. At one point the clouds parted just enough for light to reflect off the ocean far below and tease us with the silhouettes of the city. I must go back again when the weather is cooperating!
