Elk Mountain
Yesterday I was able to tackle Elk Mountain with Chelsea and Noah after a three week hiatus from hiking. It felt so good to be back out in the wilderness discovering spectacular landscapes I'd never seen before.
This was Noah's first time visiting Canada and I'd like to think we did a pretty good job of showing him how epic this place is.
The top of the mountain, which takes about two hours to reach, has a picturesque meadow full of orange and purple wildflowers plus views of Chilliwack, Cultus Lake, and Mt. Baker.
Many thanks to Chelsea and Noah for being troopers, despite the heat and the intensity of the trail, and for helping me capture so many great shots!
