SPRING / 12 MIX

In case you haven't heard, my music mixes are kind of a big deal and I take them very seriously. Twice a year, I research and carefully compile a list of songs that represent my soundtrack for the season, accompanied by custom album art. For this particular mix, I made use of my new Bamboo Tablet for the cover by creating a digital painting. It was quite fun, and a wonderful distraction from my studying. 

As you'll notice, Of Monsters and Men make multiple appearances. May seem excessive, but there is reason behind my madness. Fact is, their album My Head is an Animal is the true soundtrack of spring 2012. It's so solid that I could barely narrow down my favourites to just four. The other songs featured in my mix originated from the Hunger Games soundtrack, local Vancouver bands, and of course my all time favourites, Stars.
